Welcome to Giali UK
Protec Q Ltd was formed in 1994 by army colleagues Tony Low and Richard Laing to import and distribute the Giali range of armoured denim motorcycle clothing from Italy. With Protec Q's input, the Giali product range has been refined and developed into the current range offered today. We believe that with this on-going development and Giali's expertise in producing this type of clothing, we have the most durable and versatile gear for summer riding. As the Giali denim clothing was a seasonal product, Protec Q looked for a quality product range to offer the motorcyclist during the winter months and, in 1995, began importing and distributing Gerbing Heated Clothing.
Then, in 1997, Giali produced their own range of heated clothing which immediately won acclaim from the British biking press and stayed ahead of the competion in terms of quality and reliability until 2001 when Giali sold it's heated clothing operation to Klan. Since then, Protec Q has been the UK importer and distributor for the new Klan Heated Clothing range which has built on the high standards of the Giali garments and improved the quality further, again with active input from Protec Q's invaluable customer feedback.
Such is the versitility of the Klan Heated apparel that Protec Q has been able to introduce the idea of personal heated clothing to areas other than motorcycling, including air sports, medical applications, fresh food processing, military applications, fishing........and the list is still growing! In the last couple of years Protec Q has also taken on the import and distribution of Frogg Toggs, The Gauranteed Waterproof, Breathable and Affordable outerwear from the USA. And the Turismo Motorcycle suit from Italian manufacturer GiMoto as well as expanding into America to distribute the Jarow range of helmets.
All this is coordinated in the UK by director Richard Laing with accounts being dealt with by Val Laing. Protec Q in America is headed by company president Tony Low with Rosemary Low attending to the accounts.
